Will I get the upgrade automatically?
No. But this is for your own good. The new SiteBuilder is light years ahead of the old PageBuilder (and anything else that the competition has to show), so an automatic upgrade would not be possible or safe for your site.
Innovation doesn’t happen by gradual changes. In fact, radical innovation usually happens by leaps and bounds. The new SiteBuilder is such a case. In order to bring you the best Website Builder we had to break compatibility with the old design. Automatic import of content is not possible because we can’t risk having you lose any of the tiny changes and customizations you might have done.
But of course, we have taken all the extra steps to make your transition to the new Website Builder as smooth as possible. In fact, you have all the time in the world, 9 whole months, to make the transition (this is an eternity measured on internet time). On December 2021 the old Pages Builder will be decommissioned.
